Andy Williams

Andy is a policy and public affairs specialist with almost a decade of experience gained in a major manufacturing trade association, leading communications consultancies, and the UK’s largest business organisation.

Prior to joining 56° North, Andy worked for the CBI where he led manufacturing policy, engaging with businesses and trade associations to help drive positive change on areas including sustainability and the circular economy, skills, and innovation. He also worked with global pharmaceutical and MedTech companies to develop key policy insights on how the UK can improve its competitiveness as a global life sciences hub.

Andy previously spent five years in strategic communications consultancy, working on public affairs and policy programmes for clients across manufacturing, transport and energy. Earlier in his career, Andy was in the public affairs team for the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).
