John Penman

John is one of the country’s most experienced communications and public affairs advisers having been a FTSE 100 communications director for the last decade, following 25 years as an award winning journalist and editor.

As well as advising and supporting senior management through UK and Scottish Parliamentary committee hearings, John helped develop public policy programmes for Scottish Widows on issues including pensions and savings reform.

As a journalist, John worked in politics and business for among others the Sunday Times and The Scotsman and as one of the founders, launch editor then managing director of the innovative daily business paper Business AM.
