Rhys Ainsworth

Rhys is a Consultant at 56° North. Prior to joining the team, Rhys was a Research Assistant at the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law. In this role, he produced policy-orientated research centred around comparative politics and international relations. Rhys’ time as a Research Assistant saw him focus on working as a key member of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Group, supporting constitutional reform in Myanmar.

Before his role with the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law, Rhys completed his Law degree (LLB) at the University of Edinburgh. Throughout his studies, he mainly specialised in the UK constitutional order, investigating issues such as Brexit and the relationship between Westminster and the devolved governments.
