Sophie is a media and campaigns specialist with over 20 years’ experience working in the sports industry, developing media and communications strategies for national governing bodies, government agencies, private sector companies, athletes and charities.
Specialising in media relations, reputation management and crisis communications Sophie is one of the UK’s leading sports communicators having held senior roles within Team Scotland, Sunderland AFC, UK Anti-Doping, British Athletics and British Tennis, and working on major events including the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, World and European Athletics Championships and Wimbledon.
Sophie is a retired FIH international hockey umpire, with over 40 international caps, and was a former member of the Scottish Hockey board. Sophie currently sits on the board of Trustees of a large multi-academy trust in Newcastle advising on strategic growth and communications.
